SCANMS: adjusting for multiple comparisons in sliding window neutrality tests

نویسنده

چکیده

SUMMARY A Perl utility called SCANMS was written that operates on parametric bootstrap data generated by Hudson's simulator MS. SCANMS simulates sliding window analysis of Tajima's D or Fu and Li's D(*) or F(*) over the replicates and generates the empirical joint distribution of window minima and maxima. This distribution may then be used to calculate achieved significance values or significance cutoffs that account for multiple comparisons in sliding window analysis of real data. AVAILABILITY SCANMS is available free of charge under the terms of the Academic Free License 2.0 and may be downloaded from http://www.lcb.uu.se/~dave/SCANMS

FDiBC: A Novel Fraud Detection Method in Bank Club based on Sliding Time and Scores Window

One of the recent strategies for increasing the customer’s loyalty in banking industry is the use of customers’ club system. In this system, customers receive scores on the basis of financial and club activities they are performing, and due to the achieved points, they get credits from the bank. In addition, by the advent of new technologies, fraud is growing in banking domain as well. Therefor...

A Sliding Window Based Management Traffic Clustering Algorithm for 802.11 WLAN Intrusion Detection

This paper introduces a novel Management Traffic Clustering Algorithm (MTCA) based on a sliding window methodology for intrusion detection in 802.11 networks Active attacks and other network events such as scanning, joining and leaving in 802.11 WLANs can be observed by clustering the management frames in the MAC Layer. The new algorithm is based on a sliding window and measures the similarity ...

The Trouble with Sliding Windows and the Selective Pressure in BRCA1

Sliding-window analysis has widely been used to uncover synonymous (silent, d(S)) and nonsynonymous (replacement, d(N)) rate variation along the protein sequence and to detect regions of a protein under selective constraint (indicated by d(N)d(S)). The approach compares two or more protein-coding genes and plots estimates d(/\)(S) and d(/\)(N) fro...

Adaptive Segmentation with Optimal Window Length Scheme using Fractal Dimension and Wavelet Transform

In many signal processing applications, such as EEG analysis, the non-stationary signal is often required to be segmented into small epochs. This is accomplished by drawing the boundaries of signal at time instances where its statistical characteristics, such as amplitude and/or frequency, change. In the proposed method, the original signal is initially decomposed into signals with different fr...

Mining Frequent Patterns in Uncertain and Relational Data Streams using the Landmark Windows

Todays, in many modern applications, we search for frequent and repeating patterns in the analyzed data sets. In this search, we look for patterns that frequently appear in data set and mark them as frequent patterns to enable users to make decisions based on these discoveries. Most algorithms presented in the context of data stream mining and frequent pattern detection, work either on uncertai...
